We are seeking an experienced Compliance Consultant to oversee carrier compliance reports and deadlines while ensuring timely adherence to regulations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with data analysts to create efficient compliance reports and manage requests from various stakeholders. A passion for learning is a must as they must stay informed about industry compliance changes, communicate updates effectively, and maintain reports to reflect new requirements. Building strong relationships with carriers to gather regulatory information is essential, along with consulting with relevant managers to ensure accurate data collection across all business lines.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain a log of all carrier related compliance reports and their due dates to ensure that timely compliance is achieved.
- Design and implement needed data analysis with the Database Analyst for compliance reports to ensure that the compliance is as accurate and efficient as possible.
- Complete all standard compliance requests and special requests for carriers, NCCI, States, and other vendors as needed.
- Consult with Liability and Workers' Compensation Managers to ensure that the staff is collecting, coding, and recording the data necessary to achieve compliance for all lines of business.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Keep abreast of compliance changes in the industry and communicate to staff, managers, and clients as needed.
- Provide routine maintenance on reports to keep up with the changes in the required information to be provided.
- Create relationships with the carriers to ensure that new regulatory information comes to CRS and communicate that information with affected parties.
- Performs special projects and other duties as requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Capable of exercising discretion, in confidential matters
- Excel and Word knowledge and expertise required.
- Proficient in all component pieces of WC and Liability claims to understand where to go to get the information requested.
- Must maintain a working knowledge of our claims system, Maverick, to ensure that data elements can be collected as needed.
- Ability and willingness to consistently participate in internal and external educational opportunities to enhance knowledge of current insurance topics or relevant system improvements.
- Ability and willingness to pursue relevant designations and/or continuing education, as appropriate.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull objects.
- Must be knowledgeable of and comply with our Client Privacy Policy, HIPAA regulations and E&O procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years insurance, claims, or compliance experience required.
